What are the factors
in choosing an ink color ?
When designing
a printed piece the essential question is how many colors ? If
the piece has photographs or other full-color graphics, it will
be printed in full-color (CMYK Process) so go crazy with your
ink choices, you can have as many as you want.
If your piece
is going to be printed in one or two colors, there are a few
things to keep in mind. First black is the cheapest. Black is
the most common color used by printers, so it is frequently already
in the press and no clean-up charge has to be applied to your
piece. On two color jobs, using black and another standard color,
(blue, red, green, etc.) will keep your cost down.
