Why does the per-piece
price not go down on copy machines ?
There are little
or no set-up charges on a copy machine, just put the paper in
and go. So you pay for only paper, toner, operator time etc.,
right from the beginning. However, although this is the most
economical method for small quantities, these cost are much higher
than on an offset press. When the quantity gets above 1000 or
so, it is always better to use a press.
