Why does the per-piece
price go down as the quantity goes up ?
A large portion
of the printing process takes place in the set up of the job.
The job must be shot on our camera or pulled from a disc, the
press must be aligned and set up and so on. These charges do
not increase, they are set fees no matter what the quantity.
So as the quantity increases, the only charges that go up are
press time, paper and ink. The set-up fees are spread over more
pieces.
